What should educators know about … Youtube, Podcasts, blogs, OERs, gaming, UX, AI, online communities

You can now register for seminars in a second run in a new series that looks at various aspects of the digital world that educators should be more familiar with.

This series will introduce a number of topics covering recent developments in formal and informal learning opportunities in the digital space. You can learn more about the hidden parts of well-known phenomena such as YouTube, podcasts or AI, as well as about things that are more niche such as interesting online communities, the open source movements, or the intersection of gaming and learning.

Each session will cover one topic in depth and discuss how what we learn can be used as inspiration for innovation in university teaching but also research.

A new session has been added on What should teachers know about UI and UX design looking at lessons going beyond the use of technology in teaching.
